In 2013, the historic city of Heidelberg, Germany, with its iconic castle and the serene Neckar River, became the stage for the 14th Meeting of the Society for Natural Immunity (SNI). Heidelberg, renowned for its rich academic tradition and as a hub of scientific research, was the perfect setting for a meeting dedicated to exploring the intricacies of Natural Killer cells and natural immunity.

The 14th SNI Meeting in Heidelberg attracted a vibrant assembly of globally recognised scientists, dedicated clinicians, and budding researchers. Set amidst the gothic architecture and academic legacy of one of Europe’s oldest cities, the event was a melding of tradition with cutting-edge scientific discourse.

Participants were treated to a series of illuminating presentations, interactive sessions, and dynamic discussions, all while soaking in the atmosphere of a city that has been a centre of learning for centuries. Beyond the formal proceedings, the cobbled streets, historic landmarks, and scenic views of Heidelberg provided ample opportunity for informal discussions and collaborations.
